We started this service to give people more options when purchasing a new boat or outboard. While many dealers provide excellent service, we encountered some big guys that just didnt seem to care about overinflating their prices. They knew they were the only ones in their area and only serviced customers that walked in to their showroom. No one provided upfront prices, unless you were prepared to do some serious research it was likely you would have to pay "whatever the dealer says" the boat is worth.
In our own research we have had quotes with a discrepancy close to $10,000! Imagine paying $48,000 for a boat someone else pays $38,000 (same model). Why pay $15,850 for an outboard you can get for $14,350? That's pretty bad don't you think? Try finding the price on a new outboard or boat on the internet- we cant! Even a $200 saving on a 15hp outboard is worth using our service. Probably the most important aspect is that you are guaranteed a competitive price. You would be amazed at how many customers try and compare quotes themselves and go for the deal that "didnt include the trailer", oops sorry sir thats another $2500...just as you are about to sign on the deal. Not such a bargain after all. oops...that didnt include safety gear/anchor and rego...thats another $450 sir.

Why not go straight to the dealer?

Why not do it yourself?
By all means this is not rocket science, but we have spent hours categorising dealer lists, we know who sells which outboards, how far they are from your location, who is likely to give the best prices etc. Do it yourself and you will probably say...i'm going to use a buyers advocate next time! It may be a one off thing for your purchase, but we have done it 100 times before.
