Product delivery and other important information
Part of
good service is understanding the needs of our customers. At OTW we
want repeat business and that means making sure our customers are happy.
We make every effort to ensure products are sold and shipped in 100%
working order, and customer details are kept confidential.
We do not
deal with dodgy suppliers and that means our customers can rely on the
products we offer. We strongly advise items are insured if posted.
Used
boats
are listed in good faith and we will not be liable for failed third
party transactions. It is up to you to check that used boats are not
encumbered or stolen.
New
boats
are the responsibility of the dealer where the sale was made.
If you
are unhappy with any of our service please contact
us and we will try to sort things out. To date we have a record
of 100% satisfaction, and we would like to keep it that way!
Boat
Listings
are from third party advertisers and we do not take responsibility for
the content of these ads.
We offer
a money back guarantee for ads that genuinely dont sell after two seller
periods, one seller period is 12 weeks. It is up to the seller to contact
us for a relist after 12 weeks if not sold. We will refund your listing
fee in good faith if you cannot sell your boat and you have contacted
us and informed our staff in writing about this issue. The final decision
to refund will be at our discretion, and no refunds will be given if
our management decide this inappropriate. We want you to be happy with
our service and will be happy to discuss your circumstances in order
to expedite your sale or refund.
Buyers
Advocate
refunds are only if customer gives upfront price from dealer at first
contact with us. We spend hours researching prices so we will only refund
quote price if it is genuinely lower than what we can find. We reserve
the right to decide if refund is appropriate.
Caveat
Emptor
- Buyers Beware even if your purchase was inspected!
It is also important to note these inspections are not a marine survey
inspection, they are a general inspection covering what the marine mechanic
sees at the time of the inspection. No guarantee is implied or given,
the buying decision is yours and yours alone. The mechanics spend more
of their time covering the engine, less time on the hull and trailer
if applicable.
We
may not see everything, and we suggest the buyer also thoroughly inspect
the vessel for themselves. Marine mechanics are not structural engineers/surveyors,
they mainly work on motors. Therefore specific hull issues are not the
general area of expertise. Issues like hull cracks, osmosis, electrolysis
etc are best suited to engineering reports not our general inspections.
Timber boats and older aluminium or f-glass can have hidden nasties
we dont see.
Also
all of our inspections recommend trailer bearing fitup as unless specifically
requested we do not take wheels off to check bearings. If towing longer
distances this is essential to ensure wheels are not falling off when
towing home.
Marine
repairs are expensive at the best of times and all second hand boats
are exactly that- second hand. We are here to try and help you make
a better buying decision, but dont be fooled into thinking repairs and
servicing are not required even if the inspector gives it the thumbs
up! That point cant be made clearer especially to first time boaters.

diligence, integrity and satisfaction are our mission at ONTHEWEEKEND
